All participants will bring home the meals that have been prepared.

W912 SHAKESPEAREAN PLAYS
Cost:$35
Start:
Thursdays, March 1- April 3
Time: 1:30-3:30pm
Sessions:
6 Location: CSI Seniors
Activity Centre (Brock Shopping Centre)
Of the 35 plays attributed to
Shakespeare in “A Catalogue of the several Comedies, Histories and
Tragedies” of the First Folio of 1623, 14 are comedies. Well-versed
in the conventions of this type of drama, Shakespeare transformed
the traditions and created a startling range of comedies such as
the romantic comedy, “As You Like It” and the edgy, dark comedy that
is “Measure for Measure”.
During our 6 sessions, we will
look at “As You Like It”, “Measure for Measure” and the “Tempest” –
Shakespeare’s final solo work. This KALS course has only one
prerequisite : frame your mind to mirth and merriment, which bars a
thousand harms and lengthens life” (The Taming of the
Shrew).
