INTRODUCTION
Microsoft Live Mail is the
latest in a succession of Microsoft e-mail programs
starting with Outlook Express and Outlook which both
used used regular mail, and Hot Mail which used the web.
In fact, if away from home you had to use a form of web
mail if you wanted to avoid long distance charges.
Microsoft Live Mail now handles all transmission systems
as well as all mail forms like Gmail, Hot Mail, and
Yahoo Mail and has the added features of a planning
calendar and a junk trap.
Live Mail, like Hot Mail, has web
features such as off site storage of messages, photos
and documents; and can provide an e-mail address similar
to that of Hot Mail.
It is available for Windows XP, VISTA
and Windows 7 and can be downloaded by going to the
Microsoft site
located at:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=56883de5-2024-4631-806e-757693072a1c
Once downloaded, follow the
installation instructions noting that it will
automatically copy all your addresses and messages from
your former e-mail program.
