| INTRODUCTION
Word processing is basic to almost
every program you might want to use on your computer,
and if you are using Microsoft Windows, then what you
learn to do in Microsoft Word will carry over to
everything else including your Internet activities.
However, you should note that
there are many other word processor programs, that,
although they work mostly the same as Microsoft Word,
they differ in the way some of the more sophisticated
things are done.
To open the Microsoft Word program
look for an Icon on the desktop (screen) or go to the
Start Button to locate Word (it might be in a sub-folder
titled Microsoft Office). Once located click on the Icon
or the program name to open it. The opened program will
look something like that below.
As there are several different
version of MS Word in use, your particular version might
not be identical to Word 6.0 shown below. If you are
using Version 2007 or above, there is an attached tutor
session telling of differences: click here to see the
Word 2007 Tutor.
